Puppy Kindergarten Classes

Summer 2015: Puppy Classes are held outdoors in Black Creek.  Classes run every Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30pm.  Sign up for a session and reserve a spot or call 250-898-3173 for drop-in availability.

Philosophy: Puppy Kindergarten naturally follows Preparing For A Puppy (although Preparing for a Puppy is not a prerequisite). This course is great for instilling confidence in your puppy in a controlled and fun setting. Some of the topics covered are crate training, housetraining, and games to teach your puppy that training is fun and safe. Your puppy will also learn what to chew, to sit for a greeting instead of jumping, to walk with you, when to bark, where to eliminate, to come when called and countless other social skills. The foundation for all that will be covered in the Well Mannered Dog class is introduced in this session.

Goals: This class is structured as a six week package. Family members are encouraged and welcome to attend. This ensures that the puppies are exposed to a wide variety of dogs and people during their first critical socialization period.

Age:For puppies aged 8 to 18 weeks old and who are current in their immunization schedules and free of parasites.
